Chilean Wild Rosehip

(Rosa mosqueta)

Rosa mosqueta, sweetbriar or Chilean rose belongs to the family of wild roses which numbers over 100 species. It inhabits the wild slopes of the Andes, and is another proof of how something most beautiful can flourish even in harsh conditions. In addition to beauty, this is a plant with many useful properties. In Chile, it has been used for centuries for skin care and treatment, and is known as the “fruit of eternal youth”, precisely because it has an extraordinary power to heal and regenerate the skin. Chilean rose is a strong antioxidant, protects the body from diseases, helps it fight infections, strengthens the immune system, improves digestion, has a laxative and diuretic effect. Chilean rose oil removes scars – from wounds, acne, burns… This oil increases the elasticity of the skin and stimulates the formation of collagen, prevents the formation and alleviation of existing stretch marks, reduces wrinkles, even deep ones. Chilean rose oil accelerates the healing of burns, including those from the sun, recovers baby’s skin after eating, shrinks pores and restores the skin’s youthful appearance, and also protects the skin from infections and the development of malignant cells.
